Many years ago, after a family member had been badly injured in a car wreck, a young man my ex-husband knew, a Lakota Sioux, brought me a Lakota healing medicine bag he had made himself, with herbs and bird feathers, as a gift to put in the hospital room, which of course I did. I think it aided my family member's dramatic recovery.
Many times since, I have thought of that medicine bag, imagined it in my hands. I can still feel its healing power.

Nansen saw the interconnectedness of people and countries in global humanistic terms, not through the lens of ideology or politics. We have a great deal to learn from him and his vision today.

You and I use a very similar strategy. My word choice is spontaneous, sometimes a total word concoction, and it always results in a smile or a laugh.
